CCTV SYSTEMS

All our CCTV installations contain the latest H.264 remote access DVR's (Digital Video Recorders, with either 4, 8, 16 or 32 channels, Hard Disk Drive sizes from 250Gb to 2Tb. Our high spec DVR's include the following features motion detection, masking, zoning, digital zoom.

H.264 is the very latest video compression technology used in high resolution video formats like Blu Ray, iPlayer & HD Videos.

The benefits of using H.264 in CCTV are smaller file sizes and high quality images, this translates to reduced storage requirements, and faster transmission of video files over the internat.

FIXED CAMERAS

The obvious advantage of fitting fixed lenses cameras is the price. When fitting fixed lenses cameras however, it is important to know exactly which focal length is necessary to capyure yourrequired image. The wider the aperture, the more zoomed in the image will be. A 2.8mm lens will show a wider angle image whereas a 12mm lens will show a more narrow angle but more zoomed in image.

VARIFOCAL CAMERAS

Varifocal lenses are Direct Drive and auto iris. they are perfect for situatuions where the exact focal length needed is not known. Vari-Focal lenses give greater flexibility on install and allow the focal length to be altered late rather than having to buy a new lens. The lenses are 1/3" C/CS Mount. The auto iris function enables the lenses to deal with changing light situation easily by opening the iris further in low light and closing it in bright light.

Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) cameras, fall into the varifocal group, PTZ cameras as the name implies can be moved from side to side on an axis (panned) almost, moved up or down (tilted) and homed in on a taget (zoomed). All these functions can be carried out by an operator using either a joystick/keyboard connected directly to the DVR, or remotely over the internet or internal network.

OTHER CAMERAS

Other types of CCTV cameras available are:

  • Vehicle Cameras - these can be used as reversing aids, or evidential cameras, e.g. in taxi's to record passengers, or to catch car thieves in the act.
  • Covert Cameras - As the name indicates covert cameras are hidden to record images without the target being aware they are being watched or for personal safety, they can be used to monitor office staff, care workers, nannies etc. Covert camera's can be hidden in numerous devices like alarm sensors, smoke detectors, clocks, books, pens etc.
  • ANPR Cameras - Automatic Number Plate Recognition cameras, record the registration plate of vehicles and store it on a DVR this technology is widely used by Police forces, Petrol Stations and Businesses wishing to record vechiles entering their premises.
  • Wireless Cameras - Can be installed when it is not feasible or physically possible to install a wired camera, they are also used for temporary installations where a recording is only required for a limited period before being moved to another location.
