SECURITY SYSTEMS

Electronic and physical security systems have become an integral part of everyday life, and are now considered a necessary installation, as opposed to the luxury they were deemed in the past.

Unfortumately this is true not only in the commercial sector, but now more than ever it is becoming necessary to secure private dwellings.

Security can take the form of a fence or gate (physical) or an intruder alarm system (electronic). Security lighting can also be incorporated in this sector, either as an early warning to the resident or as a deterrent to potential intruders.

Whatever your requirement either physical or electronic , DIGITEK can suggest and install an affordable solution to your security problem.

INTRUDER SECURITY
WIRED ALARMS

Advantages :-

  • Cost - initial purchasing of the control panel, keypads and sensors is vastly cheaper than the wireless equivalent.
  • Upgradability - If additional sensors are required at a later date, say due to extending the property etc. they are a lot cheaper than wireless sensors

Disadvantages:-

  • Intrusive - there may be some disruption to the premises to gain access for wiring to the control panel, keypads, sirens, sensors etc. this may involve lifting floorboards, or installing mini trunking, conduit etc.
  • Asthetics - some cables may need to be clipped to skirting boards, door frames etc, which some customers may deem unsighlty.
WIRELESS ALARMS

Advantages :-

  • Unintrusive - there is minimal disruption to the premises as apart from the control panell all other devices such as keypads, sensors and sirens are battery operated
  • Asthetics - There are no unsightly cables to be clipped, and no mini trunking or conduit required.
  • Upgradability - additional sensors are easy to install as they are simply programmed into the panel and attached to the wall/ceiling.

Disadvantages:-

  • Cost - initial purchasing of the control panel, keypads, sirens and sensors is a lot more expensive than the wired equivalent.
  • Upgradability - If additional sensors are required at a later date, due to extending the property etc. they are a lot more expensive than wired sensors.
